Drop-down for view missing from Sharepoint list
I saw a weird issue today where the Drop-down view that we see in our list (default view) just disappeared. This happened on calendar list.
Well after some googling I found out that the one of our users edited the page and accidently deleted the out-of-box listview webpart. The he added the Calendar listview webpart by “Add a webpart” which came up without the Out-Of-Box view.
So to fix that we had two options
1. Re-add the webpart - Edit the page -> click on Add a webpart and in select webpart pop-up click on Advanced Web Part gallery and options towards bottom. On the right menu you see “closed webparts” click on that and drag the closed (original) listview webpart on the page. Don’t forget to close the old one ( I mean the one without the view).
2. Customize Page in SharePoint designer - Go designer and revert the page to its site definition.
